Sound: Different types of sounds such as Foley sound when the boy climbed down the drain pipe. The music was somewhat 'rock' to a certain extent and was very loud. This was represent the characters and what thet stand for. This helps to create representation of the fact that the characters are teenagers. This also creates verisimilitude.
Mis-en-scene: The costumes of each character helps us to see the kind of people they are and how they are represented through the show. At the start, the girl is in a mini skirt, a crop top and is wearing lots of make up with her hair done up. This represents her characters and how she plays the part. We also see props such as iPods, speakers, Skirts, etc to represent their style.
Editing: There are different editing techniques however there are not as many editing techniques as other shows. In this particular episode of skins, I could see that there was an action code to help move the story along and keep the audience into the programme however the editing effected the representation underneath the picture rather than what we could see right in front of us.
Camera: The camera moved several angles. It went from one scene to another in fast, moving jumps and actions. this helped the audience to see what was represented through the movement. The fast movement and 'Constantly being on the move' style created verisimilitude. This was created through the representation of the characters being teenagers therefore appealing to a teenage target audience.
This is not the homework which is required of you. After you asked yesterday i immediatley posted the homework which i had given out on the blog. This entry was posted at 2.42 according to your blog. Two hours late.I will give some general feedback but i can't really give an exam grade as it is not in the requied format.
ReplyDeleteThis was represent the characters and what thet stand for. This helps to create representation of the fact that the characters are teenagers. This also creates verisimilitude. - I AGREE BUT WHAT THE EXAMINER WANTS TO KNOW IS - HOW DOES IT DO THESE THINGS?
At the start, the girl is in a mini skirt, a crop top and is wearing lots of make up with her hair done up. This represents her characters and how she plays the part. - AGAIN WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT HER? HOW DOES IT REPRESENT HER?
I could see that there was an action code to help move the story along and keep the audience into the programme - WHAT WAS IT? I NEED A SPECIFIC EXAMPLE FROM THE TEXT
The camera moved several angles. It went from one scene to another in fast, moving jumps and actions - THIS IS EDITING
YOU DON'T REALLY ADDRESS CAMERA AT ALL.
YOU NEED TO WORK FUNDAMENTALLY ON GIVING DETAILED EXAMPLES FROM THE TEXT AND EXPLAINING YOUR ASCERTIANS.
